![]() ![]() This can be used to significantly speed up the vehicle. The vehicle can be installed with Boost upgrades. The Shunt modifications allow the vehicle to shunt to the side. When activated, the vehicle will be launched into the air, in a similar way to the Ruiner 2000 and Scramjet. ![]() The Jump modifications come in three levels of effectiveness and can be activated using the horn button. The vehicle can be installed with both "Jump" mods and "Shunt" mods. The truck's engine sound is also shared with the Phantom Custom, Hauler Custom, Chernobog, Scarab and TM-02 Khanjali. The Cerberus' engine model is identical to the Phantom and Packer, being a relatively undetailed model which appears to replicate a V8 engine, suggested by its spark plug textures, however with no physical manifolds or cam-heads, the engine model is otherwise unidentifiable. The truck also has a limited number of only 3 gears when compared to other trucks often featuring 5. The vehicle's straight-line performance is, overall, relatively poor. Performance Grand Theft Auto Online Vehicle Īs expected from a large truck of its kind, the Cerberus is relatively slow but remains powerful and a definite successor to the likes of the Phantom, particularly when it comes to ramming vehicles out of the way. The truck is equipped with a front flamethrower, and can be also modified with a rear flamethrower. The Cerberus also has a unique truck horn exclusive to this vehicle and its variants, significantly more violent compared to other truck horns, but dynamically quieter. It uses a set of industrial wheels also seen on trucks like the Phantom, the Packer and the Benson. Although not accessible, a trim color is also available for the seat stitching, which is always set to black. The truck is mostly painted in a primary color for the cabin, the fenders, the tips of the bumper guides, the crane structure and the details on the rear tanker, while the small frame on the top rear section is painted with a secondary color. The interior and dial set of the truck is shared with the regular Phantom. A small frame can be also seen on the top rear of the tanker. The rear end is mostly stripped-out and exposes the bare chassis, having a thin frame that holds the license plate and rectangular tail lights with cage protectors, separated into outer indicators, middle main/brake units and inner reverse units. The rear section is mostly dedicated to the tanker, having the fuel/oil tanks and large angular rear fenders. A large roof-crane arm connects the entire cabin area with the tanker on the back. There are multiple exhaust stacks coming from below the same half-cut car, with the larger ones being separated from the rest of them. The main cabin of the truck is also similar to the one from the Phantom, but it has a riveted front visor and white/faded marker lights, while the sleeper cab is replaced by a half-cut, shrunken section of a Stafford, with various metal sheets on the windows and the gaps below. ![]() The hood itself is not openable, it being part of the truck's bodywork. The nose of the truck is elongated and narrow, featuring a tall grille and rectangular housings with dual circular headlights and cage protectors, as well as large angular front fenders vented panels. The front bumper is derived from the Phantom and mounts the license plate on the center and two guides on the edges. The vehicle is depicted as a 14-wheeler truck with a 4-axle design similar to the Chernobog, and a seemingly larger size than most industrial vehicles, with the wheel size almost twice the size of the Phantom's and Packer's, and a much taller ride height in comparison to the Phantom. Furthermore, the truck is based on the Peterbilt 281, along with the large amount of rust on the Cerberus may also allude to the iconic rusted tanker featured in the 1971 film, Duel. ![]() The vehicle appears to take inspirations from the War Rig from Mad Max: Fury Road, mainly due to the concept of mixed car parts and the fuel tanker (although the War Rig is a semi truck with a separate tanker trailer). ![]()
